Our Location

We are situated in scenic County Clare right on the Atlantic Ocean, just a 30 minute car journey from Ennis town and 45 minutes from Shannon International airport with direct flights from the UK, North America, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Latvia and Lithuania.

The Armada is an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions which County Clare has to offer to include the awesome Cliffs of Moher, The Ailwee Caves, The Burren, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, North Kerry and lots of beautiful coastal drives.

Driving Directions to the Armada

From Limerick

• Leaving Limerick city, follow signs for the N18 to Ennis and Galway
• Continue for 27.9 km where you will need to branch left (signposted for Ennis)
• At roundabout take 1st exit onto the N85 (signposted Ennis)
• Travel for 1.3 km to Skehanagh roundabout where you take the 2nd exit for N85
• Travel for 1.5 km where at Clareabbey roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the N85 (signposted for Kilrush N68)
• Travel for 1.2 km where at Rocky Road roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the N85
• Travel for 1.6 km where at Beechpark roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N85
• Travel for 1.9 km where at Claureen roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the Lahinch road (N85, signposted for Ennistymon)
• Continue forward on the N85 until you reach Inagh
• Turn left onto the R460 for Miltown Malbay
• Travel for 15.2 km and turn right onto the R474 for Miltown Malbay
• Continue forward on this road until you enter the town of Miltown Malbay
• Take the 2nd road to your left (N67) which is signposted for the Armada Hotel and Spanish Point. The hotel is just a 3 min drive from here.

From Galway city (via Ennis)

• Follow directions out of the city for N6
• At Kirwan roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Bothar Na Dtreabh - N6 (signposted for Dublin)
• At Font Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Bothar Na DTreabh - N6 (signposted for Dublin)
• At Morris roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Bothar Na dtreabh - N6
• AT Lynch roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Bothar Na Dtreabh - N6 (signposted for Dublin)
• At Martin roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the N6 (signposted Dublin)
• At roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the N6 (signposted Dublin)
• At next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the N18 (signposted for Limerick)
• Continue forward onto the N18 entering Oranmore
• Continue forward onto the N18 entering Clarenbridge
• Continue forward on the N18 entering Kilcolgan
• Continue forward on the N18 entering Gort
• Continue forward on te N18 through Crusheen
• Once on the dual carraigeway, branch left when you see the first sign for Ennis. Then at roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto R458 (signposted Ennis)
• Continue forward onto the R458 entering onto the Gort Road
• Continue forward on Gort road entering Ennis
• At roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Cusack Road - R352(signposted Ennistymon N85)
• At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Lahinch Road - N85 (signposted Ennistymon)
• Continue forward onto the N85. Entering Inagh
• Turn left on the R460 signposted for Miltown Malbay
• Travel on for 15.2 km and turn right onto the R474 TO Miltown Malbay
• On entering the town of Miltown, take the 2nd exit to your left in the centre of town which is signposted for the Armada Hotel

From Kerry

• Take the ferry from Tarbert, Co. Kerry, to Killimer, Co. Clare. In Killimer turn left and follow the N67 to Kilrush. Follow the signposts for Miltown Malbay. Having passed Quilty, continue until you reach the Bellbridge House Hotel. Turn left and pass Spanish Point Beach on your left. Turn left at the next Tjunction and the Armada is on your left.

  From Dublin

• At Red Cow Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Naas Road - N7 (signposted Limerick)
• Continue forward onto Portlaose Road - N7 entering Mouthrath
• Continue forward onto Dublin road - N7 entering Borris in Ossory
• Continue forward on the N7 entering Roscrea
• At Dublin Road roundabout, take the 2nd exit on N7 (signposted for Limerick)
• At Templemore roundabout, take the 3rd exit on to N7( signposted for Limerick)
• Continue forward on N7 through Dunkerrin
• Continue forward on N7, enter Moneygall
• Continue forward on N7 entering Nenagh
• Continue forward on N7 entering Birdhill
• Continue forward on N7 entering Lisnagry
• At roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Limerick bypass (N7 signposted for Cork/Killarnay)
• After 4.4km turn right onto Ballysimon Road, N24
• Continue on N24, entering Limerick
• Follow signs for N18 for Shannon Airport, Bunratty and Ennis
